We all had a great trip- Everything went according to plan and without incident. It is the first time the school has ever taken its students on an international residential and it was ideal in terms of what we wanted to achieve with our students - not too long, not too far away in terms of travelling and with a variety of experiences which most of our students have never experienced before. They loved the ferry and the excursions.

Hednesford Valley High to Pas de Calais

The trip to France with Year 7 went very smoothly, with all the students and staff thoroughly enjoying themselves.  The centre had an excellent location - being so close to the sea and well away from any busy roads was very reassuring. Food was spot on, with the students having an opportunity to stock up well in a morning, a well thought picnic lunch and a hearty evening meal.  The cook was lovely and very friendly to our kids.  Our driver - Renaud - who accompanied us every day was brilliant, very laid back, punctual and extremely friendly to all of us - helping out above and beyond what most drivers would do on such a field visit. He took us to an additional location, a beautiful little village, and was knowledgeable of the local area.  The two coaches he used were clean and well maintained.

The itinerary worked well and we kept our students busy throughout the trip. Thanks"

The trip was wonderful - thank you!  The girls really enjoyed their stay and were amazed by the scenery!!  The gnocchi making was especially great - I didn't realise that it would include a tour of her farm, a mozzarella-making demonstration, the gnocchi making, a 2 course meal and marmalade and liquor tasting as well!!  It was a lovely thing to do and would be worth publicising to other schools!

Our coach driver was fantastic and was so helpful - we had a problem on the final day as the summit of Vesuvius was closed due to high winds  so he took us early to Herculaneum and then to his friend's pizzeria where we had an impromptu pizza party!!  He then took us to the seafront in Naples as we had time to kill before our flight!
The hotel was also lovely.  They were ever so friendly and welcoming.
